THIS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION - FOR THE CURRENT SITE - GO TO http://nochainsalllove.ca - thanks!

Nova Scotia is on the cusp of great changes in regards to chained dogs. Previously it was legal to chain your dog 24 hours a day 365 days a year - but there is new legislation being passed by the Nova Scotia government that says "A tethered dog must be left no longer than a period of 12 consecutive hours with a mandatory break from tethering of seven consecutive hours during a 24 hour period." So the continuous tethering of dogs in Nova Scotia has come to an end - you cannot keep your dog outside 24 hrs a day 365 days a year anymore in our province - it is now illegal - this website will provide resources to dog owners who have chained their dogs in this manner so that they can bring them inside successfully, and also give resources to people who see dogs that seem to be living outside all the time so that education can be given to those dog's owners. Dogs that have been chained out their whole lives can be integrated back inside without a lot of work - it has been proven over and over, they are just blank canvases waiting to come inside - with the resources included on this website you should be on the road to living successfully with the dog that has been living outside your home. All it takes is a little bit of work, and you can have a great companion animal and also be within the new laws that the Nova Scotia government has enacted.
